The quick verdict

Five honest best-for picks.

There's no single "best" WhatsApp CRM. The right pick depends on what you're optimizing for — cheapest, most features, most honest, best for Instagram, or owning the stack. Here's the call by use case.

You want… Best pick Cost / month Why
Cheapest honest BSP AiSensy Basic ₹1,500 No markup on Meta's per-message rates. Cleanest pricing.
Most features (enterprise) WATI Business ₹16,999 Feature-complete, polished dashboard. 20% Meta markup though.
Instagram + WhatsApp Interakt Growth ₹2,499 Purpose-built for dual-channel. 12-39% Meta markup depending on plan.
Shopify e-commerce AiSensy Pro ₹3,200 Templates for cart recovery, order updates. No markup.
Owning the stack outright Studio + Cloud API direct ~₹12,775 all-in* No platform fee, no markup, you own the templates and code.

*Studio path: ₹35,000 one-time Build + ₹1,200 retainer + Meta direct rates. At 10K msgs/mo.

The five platforms, ranked

Honest take on each major BSP in India 2026.

All five are official WhatsApp Business Solution Providers approved by Meta. They differ on pricing, feature depth, markup policy, and what they're best suited for.

01

AiSensy — most honest BSP.

The only major BSP in India that doesn't add a markup on Meta's per-message rates. Pricing is transparent: ₹1,500 Basic, ₹3,200 Pro. Service messages are free. Extra agents ₹750/month above 5. Covers 80% of typical use cases without the BSP-tax that compounds at scale. Weak points: limited chatbot depth, fewer e-commerce templates than Interakt, less polished enterprise feature set than WATI.

Best for: small to mid SMBs wanting a fair, managed dashboard. Verdict: 9/10 on honesty, 7/10 on features.
02

WATI — most features, most expensive.

The most polished and feature-rich BSP in India. Chatbot builder, advanced automation, deep integrations, multi-agent inbox — all present. Trade-offs: ₹16,999/month for the full feature set (Business plan), 20% markup on every Meta message, ₹4,990/month per additional agent above 5, Shopify integration costs ₹400/month extra. At scale, the bill compounds fast. Most Indian businesses on WATI pay 2-3x the published headline number.

Best for: enterprises with budget and complex multi-channel ops. Verdict: 9/10 on features, 5/10 on cost-fairness.
03

Interakt — Instagram + WhatsApp combined.

The only major BSP in India that handles Instagram DMs alongside WhatsApp natively. Useful if your customer flow uses both channels. Pricing: ₹999-3,500/month depending on tier and billing cycle. Markup: 12-39% on Meta's per-message rates depending on plan. Best Shopify e-commerce templates among BSPs (abandoned cart, COD optimization). Trade-off: complex pricing structure with separate Marketing Hub and Sales CRM Hub plans — if you need both, you pay twice.

Best for: D2C brands using both Instagram and WhatsApp. Verdict: 8/10 on features, 6/10 on pricing clarity.
04

Gallabox — solid mid-tier option.

Less well-known than the top three but a credible mid-tier choice. Pricing competitive with AiSensy. Reasonable feature set. Smaller user base means fewer integrations and community resources. Worth considering for businesses that want a managed BSP but find the top three either too expensive or too feature-heavy. Verdict somewhat depends on which specific integrations you need.

Best for: businesses comparison-shopping the mid-tier BSP space. Verdict: 7/10 overall.
05

DoubleTick — upstart with momentum.

Newer entrant that's been growing through aggressive pricing and a clean UX. Generally cheaper than WATI for similar functionality, though the feature set is still maturing. Decent option for cost-conscious businesses willing to bet on a less-established platform. Less risky than a no-name BSP, more cost-effective than the dominant players.

Best for: cost-sensitive growing businesses willing to use a newer platform. Verdict: 7/10 on price, 6/10 on maturity.
The third path

The option most rankings leave out.

All five rankings above are BSPs — managed dashboards that sit on top of Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API. There's a sixth option: skip the BSP layer entirely and run on Meta's Cloud API direct, with a studio handling the setup and ongoing work that a BSP dashboard normally hides.

₹0

Platform subscription

No monthly fee for the platform layer. You only pay Meta's per-message rates (which you'd pay either way through a BSP).

0%

Markup on Meta rates

Meta's rates pass through unchanged. ₹1.09 per marketing message stays ₹1.09 — not ₹1.31 (WATI) or ₹1.50 (high-tier Interakt).

100%

Ownership

You own the WhatsApp Business Account, the templates, the automation code, the integrations. Build once, extend forever.

The trade-off: you need someone competent to handle Meta verification, template design and submission, automation logic, and integration with your existing systems. That's exactly what a studio like ours does. One-time Build at ₹35,000, optional Studio retainer at ₹1,200/month for ongoing changes. For businesses sending 3,000+ messages/month or needing custom flows, this path is usually more economical than any BSP within the first year.

The 3-year math

What each path actually costs over three years.

Same assumptions across all paths: 10,000 marketing messages and 5,000 utility messages per month, 5 team members. Table below shows platform-spend only — Meta's per-message rates pass through at cost on all paths and are excluded so the actual differential is visible.

Path Platform spend / month Year 1 3-year total
WATI Business ~₹19,314 ~₹2,31,768 ~₹6,95,304
Interakt Growth ~₹5,450 ~₹65,400 ~₹1,96,200
AiSensy Pro ~₹3,200 ~₹38,400 ~₹1,15,200
Studio + Cloud API direct ₹1,200* ~₹49,400* ~₹78,200*

*Studio path: ₹1,200/month retainer is optional and cancellable any time. Year 1 includes the one-time ₹35,000 Build fee; years 2–3 are retainer only. Meta's per-message rates (₹10,900 marketing + ₹675 utility, on these assumptions) pass through at cost on every path — same number regardless of provider, which is why they're excluded from this table.

The decision matrix

Which path is right for your business.

Stay on a BSP if:

  • You send fewer than 3,000 messages a month
  • You want a managed dashboard your team can log into
  • Your flows fit standard templates (broadcast, FAQ bot, inbox)
  • You don't have or want a technical contact managing the stack
  • You don't need integrations beyond what the BSP provides
  • You're testing WhatsApp as a channel before committing

Build with aivite studio if:

  • You send 3,000+ messages a month and the markup compounds
  • Your flows are too custom for a no-code builder
  • You need deep integration with your CRM, payment, or backend
  • WhatsApp has become your primary customer channel
  • You'd rather pay once for something you own than rent monthly
  • You want a partner who extends the build as your business grows
If you're undecided

A 30-minute call will narrow it down for you.

We're not going to pretend the studio path is right for everyone. About a third of the calls we take end with us recommending the person picks a BSP — usually AiSensy — because their use case genuinely fits a dashboard model.

The other two-thirds have outgrown the fit or need something a BSP can't deliver. They leave the call with a scope and a number. Either outcome saves you weeks of research.

Common questions

The honest answers.

There's no single 'best' — it depends on your size and use case. For small businesses (under 2,000 messages/month) wanting a managed dashboard, AiSensy Basic at ₹1,500/month is the most honest BSP because they don't mark up Meta's per-message rates. For larger enterprises needing rich features and willing to pay for them, WATI Business at ₹16,999/month is comprehensive but expensive. For Instagram + WhatsApp dual-channel use cases, Interakt is purpose-built. For businesses that want to own their WhatsApp infrastructure outright — no monthly platform fee, no markup, custom flows — a studio build on Meta Cloud API direct is the better long-term economic choice.

For mid-to-large enterprises sending high message volumes and needing the full feature set (chatbot, integrations, multi-agent inbox, advanced automation), WATI's Business plan is feature-complete and the dashboard is polished. The downsides: 20% markup on Meta's per-message rates that compounds at scale, per-agent fees that add ₹4,990/month each above 5 users, and zero ownership of the stack you build. For most Indian businesses, AiSensy Pro at ₹3,200/month covers 80% of WATI's functionality at 19% of the price.

AiSensy is the only major Indian BSP that doesn't add a markup on Meta's per-message rates. WATI marks up 20%, Interakt marks up 12-39% depending on plan and message type. AiSensy passes Meta's rates through unchanged and only charges the platform subscription (₹1,500-3,200/month). This makes AiSensy materially cheaper at scale — at 50,000 marketing messages/month, the markup savings vs WATI alone is ~₹11,000/month.

The WhatsApp Business app itself is completely free, but it's limited to one phone, one user, and 256-contact broadcast lists. For anything beyond that — multi-agent, larger broadcasts, automation, integrations — you need WhatsApp Business API, which always has per-message charges (paid to Meta) plus either a BSP subscription or a one-time studio build. There is no truly free 'API-tier' WhatsApp CRM in India in 2026.

Most rankings compare BSPs against each other — WATI vs AiSensy vs Interakt — and miss that there's a third option: running directly on Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API, with a studio or developer handling setup and operations. There's no platform subscription, no per-message markup, and you own the WhatsApp Business Account, templates, and automation code. The trade-off is upfront work — you (or a partner) need to handle Meta verification, template design, integration code, and ongoing operations. For businesses sending 3,000+ messages/month or needing custom flows, this path is usually more economical long-term.

For Shopify-based stores wanting plug-and-play abandoned cart and order updates, Interakt has the deepest e-commerce templates out of the box. AiSensy Pro is a close second with lower total cost. For larger D2C brands (50K+ messages/month) where the BSP markup becomes material, a direct Cloud API build with custom flows pays back the one-time cost within months and gives unlimited flexibility on cart recovery sequences, post-purchase journeys, and CRM integration.
