This page covers how refunds work for aivite engagements. Short version: discovery calls are free and risk-free. Builds are partially refundable before work starts and not after. Studio retainers cancel anytime with no future-month obligation. Custom builds follow the signed agreement. No fine print, no hidden conditions.
The 30-minute discovery call we offer at the start of any engagement is free and carries no obligation. There's nothing to refund because nothing was paid. If we agree to work together after the call, we send a written scope of work; you only pay when you accept it.
Our standard Build engagement is paid 50% on kickoff and 50% on delivery. Refund terms depend on which stage of the project we're in:
The ongoing Studio retainer is billed monthly in advance. You can cancel anytime by emailing us — no notice period required, no cancellation fee. The current month's retainer is not refunded (we've allocated capacity for the month), but we continue delivering services through the end of that paid month. No further charges after cancellation.
For Custom engagements above ₹1,00,000, refund and cancellation terms are specified in the signed scope of work and may differ from the standard above. Typically these involve milestone-based payments where each milestone, once accepted, is non-refundable but unstarted milestones can be cancelled.
Meta's per-message charges, third-party platform subscriptions (BSPs, payment gateways), and other pass-through costs we may pay on your behalf are not refundable by us — they go to the respective service providers, not to aivite. We will help you cancel any subscriptions we set up if you decide to discontinue.

We acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and process eligible refunds within 7-10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method (UPI, bank transfer, card, etc.). Currency conversion or bank processing fees, if any, are deducted from the refund amount.
We'd rather resolve any refund disagreement through a conversation than escalate it. If we can't agree, the dispute follows the governing law section of our Terms of Service (Indian law for Indian clients; New York law for US/other clients).
We may update this policy as the studio's practices evolve. Material changes are flagged with a new "Last updated" date. The refund terms in effect when you signed your scope of work continue to apply to that engagement.
