Interakt's published plans start at ₹999/month — the headline that gets you in. The actual bill compounds through a 12–39% markup on every Meta message you send, plus per-agent fees, plus separate subscriptions if you want both Marketing Hub and Sales CRM. At scale, the markup alone is what hurts. Here's the honest math, and what owning your WhatsApp stack looks like instead.
Built on Meta's Cloud API direct · No BSP · No markup · Own the WhatsApp Business Account outright
Interakt's ₹999 Starter plan sounds reasonable until you do the math on a real business. Here are the four things that make the real bill different from the published one.
Meta charges ₹1.09 per marketing message to Indian numbers. Interakt's Growth plan charges roughly ₹1.36 per message — a 25% markup. Send 50,000 marketing messages/month and that's roughly ₹13,500 extra per month, ₹1.6 lakh per year, that you pay Interakt for the privilege of using Meta's API through their layer.
Source: Interakt pricing page + Meta India 2026 rate cardEvery plan includes 5 sales agents. Each additional agent is ₹499/month. A team of 15 = ₹5,000/month in seat fees alone, on top of your subscription, on top of your per-message charges. The unit economics get worse, not better, as your team grows.
Source: Interakt plan documentationIf you need both WhatsApp marketing automation AND a sales CRM that integrates with it, you're paying for two products. That can effectively double your monthly Interakt bill, depending on which tiers you pick. Most businesses we talk to didn't realize this until their first quarterly invoice.

Assumptions: A growing D2C brand, coaching center, or service business sending ~10,000 marketing messages and ~5,000 utility messages per month. 5 agents. India-based numbers, India recipients. All numbers from published 2026 rates.
| Cost component | Interakt Growth | aivite (Build + Studio) |
|---|---|---|
| Platform subscription | ₹2,500 / month | ₹0 / month |
| One-time build | N/A | ₹35,000 (once) |
| Studio retainer (optional) | Not offered | ₹1,200 / month |
| 25% markup on marketing messages | ₹2,725 / month | ₹0 / month |
| Utility message markup | ~₹225 / month | ₹0 / month |
| Monthly platform spend | ~₹5,450 / month | ~₹1,200 / month |
| 3-year platform total | ~₹1.96 lakh | ~₹78,200 (saves ~₹1.18L + ownership) |
Meta's per-message rates pass through at cost on both sides — same regardless of provider.
Interakt's per-message markup compounds at volume — ~₹1.18L of overspend across three years before you even count what's missing at the end. The studio path is cheaper and gives you something you actually own. Cancel Interakt and the integration ends. Cancel the studio retainer and the code keeps running. Markup payments fund the BSP. Build payments build your asset.
Not a dashboard. A finished WhatsApp product designed for your operational reality — built once, owned forever, running on Meta's Cloud API with no BSP markup in between.
We handle Meta Business verification, WhatsApp Business Account setup, phone number provisioning, and green-tick application where applicable. The work that BSPs do during onboarding — we do it as part of the build.
3 to 6 message templates designed for your voice, structured for Meta approval. Automation flows for your actual business processes — not a generic builder, your specific workflow.
CRM, sheets, payment gateway, internal database, e-commerce platform — wherever your data lives, we connect to it. WhatsApp becomes one channel in your stack, not a separate island.
The WhatsApp Business Account, the templates, the automation code, the integration glue, the data. There's nothing to "leave" because there's no platform you're attached to. It's your stack.
Most Interakt customers we talk to know their subscription cost. Few know their effective per-message cost once the markup is factored in — because it shows up on a separate invoice line as "WhatsApp credits."
In a 30-minute discovery call we'll look at your last 3 months of Interakt billing, calculate the effective rate you're paying per message, and show you what the same volume would cost on a Cloud API direct build. No deck, no upsell — just the math.
Book a build call →Interakt's published plans are ₹999/month (Starter), ₹2,499-2,566/month (Growth), and ₹2,999-3,500/month (Advanced). On top of that, Interakt charges a 12-39% markup on Meta's per-message rates depending on plan and message type. At 50,000 marketing messages/month, the markup alone adds roughly ₹6,500-8,000 to your bill. Plus ₹499/month for each agent above 5. For a mid-sized business, the realistic monthly cost is ₹25,000-40,000.
AiSensy doesn't mark up Meta rates at all. WATI marks up by approximately 20%. Interakt marks up by 12% on the lowest tier to 39% on certain message types in higher tiers. Direct Meta Cloud API has no markup whatsoever. So Interakt sits in the middle of the BSP pricing spectrum — cheaper subscription than WATI Business, but higher per-message cost than AiSensy.
Interakt Growth plan at ~₹2,500/month with 25% markup on Meta rates, sending 10,000 marketing messages/month: roughly ₹2,500 + ₹13,625 = ₹16,125/month. The studio path: one-time ₹35,000 Build + ₹1,200/month optional retainer + Meta direct rate (~₹10,900) = ₹12,100/month after build. Three-year totals: Interakt ~₹5.8 lakh; studio ~₹4.7 lakh including the build. Savings ~₹1.1 lakh, plus you own the stack at the end.
Three reasons. First, Interakt has separate plans for Marketing Hub and Sales CRM Hub — if you need both, you pay for both subscriptions. Second, the markup varies by both plan tier and message type (marketing, utility, authentication). Third, there are quarterly and annual prepay discounts that can change effective monthly cost by 8-20%. The complexity makes it hard to know what you'll actually pay without running the math against your specific message volume.
Yes. Your WhatsApp Business Account number can be moved from Interakt's BSP layer to your own Cloud API instance. Contacts and conversation history don't transfer automatically (they're stored in Interakt's database, not in WhatsApp itself), but the phone number, templates (we re-submit them properly), and integrations are all carried over. We handle the migration as part of the Build engagement, typically over a 1-2 day low-traffic window.
Interakt makes sense for businesses that want a managed dashboard, value Instagram + WhatsApp integration in one tool, send fewer than ~3,000 messages per month (where their markup doesn't yet dominate), and don't need automation beyond what the no-code builder supports. For larger volumes or custom requirements, the studio path is more economical and more flexible.
